20 YEARS TRANSFORMING SPACES THROUGH ART
We started out just over 20 years ago with a desire to create art for everday people, not just for the galleries. We simply wanted to paint, share what we loved, and bring a bit of colour into our local spaces. Brightening our Cities was our motto on the side of our first van.
We began with workshops, community murals, and graffiti projects. Using art as a way to connect with people and bring new energy into public spaces. Helping young people explore their creativity through graffiti and mural work. We were just doing what felt right, using art as a way to connect people and brighten up neglected spaces.
What began in the community started to grow. Schools invited us in, councils reached out, and businesses asked us to bring creativity into their spaces. While the commercial side of our work has expanded, it’s always been rooted in where we came from: a belief that art can bring people together, tell stories, and create something lasting.
Over the years, one thing has stayed consistent: a deep desire to learn and create. That thread has run through everything we’ve done, from grassroots projects to larger commissions. Along the way, we began painting large-scale portraits, more often of everyday people. These pieces have become some of our most meaningful forms of work in our portfolio, honouring individuals and connecting art with place and people.
We’re still driven by curiosity, still learning, still passionate about creating work that feels personal, open, and collaborative.
